Who is behind The Djooky Music Awards?

The Djooky Music Awards is backed by some of the music industry’s most respected producers and musicians such as Brian Malouf, Justin Gray, Patrice Rushen, and Sacha Skarbek. Djooky was co-founded by an international team of entrepreneurs with a combined experience of over 100 years in the global music industry. Learn more about our team here.

Is it free to take part?

Yes, taking part in the Djooky Music Awards is completely free for an artist or a songwriter. All you need to do is create a profile on djookyawards.com, upload your original songs and nominate one of them for the competition.

How does it work?

Set up your profile on djookyawards.com. To do this, hit the Register Now button on the Home page. 

Upload your original songs and nominate one of them for The Djooky Music Awards.

The outcome of the National and Continental voting rounds are determined by the fans, or music lovers. Music lovers all over the world can register and vote for their favourite Entry, first from their own country, then - from their continent. In the National and Continental finals, the top 3 contestants qualify for the next round.

In the Global Final, music lovers determine 50% of the outcome by casting their votes via the official Djooky app. The professional Panel of Judges will also determine the remaining 50% of the outcome. The Global winner of the Djooky Music Awards will be awarded the main prize. Learn more about the Rules of the contest here

Do I have to give up my master or composition copyrights?

No, you don’t. We’re not asking for any of your copyrights.

How do I maximize my chances of winning The Djooky Music Awards?

All you need to do is to ask your fan community to download the Djooky Music Awards mobile app, register, and start allocating points to your Entry song. This is important to get your Entry featured in the Charts which gives you more exposure to a global audience and more chances to get votes in the voting rounds. 

If you succeed in the National finals and make it to the Continental round, keep on engaging your fan community and consider reaching out to your Continent’s media outlets to get more media exposure across the continent. 

Your success in the Global round will ultimately depend on your efforts in engaging your fan community to vote for your Entry when the voting window opens. Make sure to tell your fans they need to be registered and have the Djooky app on their phones.

In order to be considered for the Djooky Music Awards, you need to apply before Sunday, 15 May 2022 at 23:59:59 GMT.

National Voting Round: Monday, 16 May, 00:00:00 GMT - Friday, 20 May, 23:59:59 GMT

Continental Voting Round: Saturday, 21 May, 00:00:00 GMT - Wednesday, 25 May, 23:59:59 GMT

Global Voting Round: Thursday, 26 May, 00:00:00 -  Sunday, 29 May 23:59:59 GMT
