It's been about a month since we announced that the Djooky Records Team has signed the talented Russian music band The GrandMa! And we are ready to continue impressing you with even more exciting news: we are super psyched to announce the release of their brand new album!
The Russian rockers have just launched their full-length album “Cure for Fear,” which as the band members agree is “another door to the unknown.” The album was released worldwide through Djooky Records (USA). Band member Sergey commented, “We are very excited about this collaboration!”
The album boasts of some outstanding rock numbers based on relevant themes such as freedom, the will to be free and happy, and the challenges and struggles faced by all human beings. The band admits that the ongoing pandemic was a huge challenge for them, as it was for musicians all around the world; and in such circumstances, it was sometimes hard to channel their creative mood and inspiration. Understandably, everything that was going on around them had an impact on their music.
What helped them, say GrandMa, was their common preferences, and common “beliefs” about how to make their music. Sharing a love for analog sound, amps, and searching for new guitar sounds etc. made the whole experience an incredibly fun one.
The GrandMa member Alexander sums the feeling up perfectly when he states, “When your rock band releases an album worldwide, it’s like you broke some shell and found out there’s a whole world outside!”
We are extremely delighted that our artists remain inspired and create wonderful music as part of Djooky Records and we continue to support them in their creative achievements!
