Artists and Songwriters

Artists/Songwriters (“A/S”) can only nominate one song to take part in the Djooky Music Awards. However, A/S can replace a nominated song to a different song on their catalogue at any moment until the deadline date for applications.

All nominated songs will take part in the weekly National, Continental, Global, and Genre charts to be published every Monday.

Music Lovers

All registered users can listen to all music on the platform; create Favorites lists; support their favorite songs and influence the Charts by allocating Voting Points (VPs)

To add a song to Favorites, a User should click on the star icon next to the song. Each song added to Favorites automatically gains 1 VP.

Over the course of each week of the season, users are invited to support the songs on their Favorites list by allocating VPs. By allocating VPs, users influence the songs’ position in the weekly Charts.

Every Monday, a new 100 VPs will be credited to all users’ accounts, with the previous week's history of points allocation annulled.

Weekly Charts

Based on the number of VPs songs received every week, Djooky will create live National, Continental, Global and Genre charts.

When two or more songs have the same number of VPs, the latest nominated song gains priority in the Charts.

For a Chart to become available to view, at least 10 (ten) songs must be competing in the respective category.

National Voting Round - Monday, 15 August 2022.

All registered users will be credited with 100 Voting Points (VPs). Users will be able to use these points for voting only for the Entries (nominated songs) competing in their Country. During this time, all other songs on the users’ Favorites lists will be available solely for streaming purposes.

Based on the total number of VPs awarded to a song, the top three Entries from each participating Country will qualify for the Continental Voting Round.

Continental Voting Round - Saturday, 20 August 2022.

All registered users will be credited with 100 VPs to their accounts. Users will be able to use these points for voting for the Entries competing in their Continent. During this time, all other songs on the users’ Favorites lists will be available solely for streaming purposes.

Based on the total number of VPs awarded to a song, the top three Entries from each Continent will qualify for the Global Voting Round (Grand Final).

Global Voting Round - Thursday, 25 August 2022.

All registered users will be credited with 100 VPs to their accounts. Users will be able to use these points for voting for all 18 (eighteen) Entries competing in the Grand Final.

All other songs on the platform will be available for streaming purposes only.

User votes determine 50% of the outcome. The Panel of Judges will determine the remaining 50% of the outcome. The Panel of Judges consists of 6 permanent members invited by the Djooky Music Awards organizers for their long service and recognized work within the global music industry.

The panel of judges will be given the number of VPs equal to the total number of VPs given to all platform Users which will be equally split between the judges to allocate as they please to the 18 competing Entries.

The Entry which receives the highest number of VPs from the Users and Judges shall be ranked first and is deemed as the Winner of the Grand Final. The winner and the two runner-ups will receive Platinum, Gold and Silver Awards respectively.

The Entries which receive the highest number of VPs in each Genre will be deemed Genre winners and will be awarded.
