Breaking Away to be her own Superhero - The dream of a Small Town Girl

What is music if it does not express the depth of our feelings, explores the hidden shadows of our thoughts and emotions?! Djooky is on a constant lookout for personalities who break away with their songs to bring out the superheroes in themselves.   

We are proud to announce KLER as a new addition to Djooky Records, our own unique music label. Born in a small town in Ukraine, KLER’s focus and hard work have paved her way as a top-notch musician. Since childhood, she was always loved music and dancing, and her musical career is a reflection of the same. 

KLER started studying vocals and piano at a very young age. At music school, she sang in a quintet and we went on tour to perform across Europe. This is where she grabbed her first TV interview. To enhance her musical journey she enrolled in the Vinnitsa College of Culture and Arts, majoring in pop vocals and choir. At this stage, she explored her flair for writing her first songs and also grabbed spotlights on stage. In 2012, she enrolled as a film major at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. While playing a piece of Jean Genet’s "The Maids", she was inspired by the role of Claire and acquired her first stage name: Valerie Claire.

During the quarantine, it became challenging to promote the KLER project, so a difficult decision was made to end her career. However, as KLER once mentioned, in 2021, thanks to the Djooky Music Awards, her team decided to try again and were not mistaken! Even though she didn’t win the contest, KLER`s team received a lot of support from new people and were inspired to write new music. “As an artist, I realized that no matter how hard it was, I would not give up what I loved. And then in that same year, I signed a contract with Djooky Records!”, KLER said. She also mentioned: Djooky Records is definitely a fresh breath of air in the music industry. For me, being signed to Djooky Records is an opportunity and a chance to share my music with the listener, tell my story and make my dreams come true. This is to work with real professionals in their field who believe in the artist”.
