Sophie Villy (Sophie Khutsishvili) - singer/songwriter and producer from Tbilisi Georgia, whose discography contains three LP albums and several movie soundtracks. Her music, which is floating mostly around Trip Hop, Alternative Rock and Electronica, is well known for music lovers of BBC 2, KEXP, KCRW, the British Guardian listed her in the list of “must listen new artists from around the world”. With her three studio albums “Mother Fish” (2012), “Dress” (2014), that has become an Album of the Year in Ukraine (Comma) and “Planet A” (2017) Sophie toured in the US and Europe. She’s the only Georgian artist, who’s performed on SXSW. “Planet A” won “Best Alternative Rock album” by Akademia Music Awards (LA). "Lost in Escapade" with Sophie’s Soundtracks, was selected for the Cannes Festival Short Film Palme d’Or competition in 2015 and won Best Original Music at Spain's Euro Film Festival. At a time of increasing nationalist tensions, her multilingual songs are debated by the Ukrainian and Georgian media as a protest of people who are tired of politics and aspire for peace in their country. Sophie won “Best New Artist” at “Phoenix Music Awards” in Tbilisi (2014) and was nominated for “Best artist” on Electronauts 2017. In 2018 Sophie founded a creative exploration studio for children (aged 6-13) called Soulscope. Soulscope is a free, happy space for those who aspires for self-discovery, joyful learning and creative thinking through the magic of Music and Art.
